 Möbius
Strips

Inspiration:

When I was a kid, I saw the piece of art pictured displayed at the Boston Museum of Science. I was amazed at how a loop so simple could also be so complex. I started investigating möbius strips and how they could be combined and modified.

First Concept:

After playing around with different geometries of the mobius strip in different sets, I found something unique. If two sets of double helix strips were combined, and an object was placed between them, they could rotate the object about 3 axes simultaneously. I showed this to my father, who was a researcher at a scientific institute in my hometown and he told that we should begin patent research.

Patent Pending

After days of research, we found out this model was unique, so a patent pending process started. With the help of some researchers to model the concept, I was able to file a patent pending with USPTO. This process took several months, and it was necessary to work with a patent attorney, but on October 12th of 2017, the USPTO Patent Pending no. 62571296 for a DEVICE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION, SUPPORT, AND THE CONTINUOUS AND SIMULTANEOUS ORIENTATION OF LONGITUDINAL ELEMENTS was issued. I plan to conclude patent registration in the near future.
